Things have been in full swing around here at our house! Susie and Aaron have been going to softball twice a week to get their team ready for their first game on Saturday. She loves spending time with daddy just the two of them and I love it for both of them too! I've been working hard with my friends to get VBS stuff in order...which by the way, I'm
so excited about. I love the bible character Joshua. Grace and I sat down the other night and read the first 9 chapters together and it was fun to hear what she thought about all the battles and such. I love reading (actually, listening) with her.
Parker has been busy just being Parker. Man! Little 2 year old boys are always up to something, aren't they? Last week, I didn't hear him for a few minutes...you know...trouble. I went looking for him. He was under the dining room table with a block, yes a block, of cheese. He was eating away on the cheese.
I said, "Parker! What are you doing?"
His response, "I hungry, mama!"
Little stinker!
He is rocking on the potty training. I say training but he has been in big boy underwear for quite some time so I guess we are almost done. I just don't want to jinx ourselves and get too excited. The final step was to wear them to school on Tues./Thurs. and I just didn't put him in real underwear on those days because I thought that if he did get busy and forgot to tell his teachers he needed to go...that would be a HUGE mess for them. So, he has been wearing a pull up on school days. Well...he went to school Tuesday in his SpiderMan underwear and was so very excited. His teachers said that after lunch, he got a worried look and yelled, "I NEED TO GO POOP RIGHT NOW!!" He made it, they just said he was so very funny.
Oh, one more Parker story and I'm done.
In bible class, Parker's teacher, Ms. June had just handed each of the kids a bible and they were talking about the Old Testament and the New Testament.
Then June says to the kids, "Who gave us the Bible?"
You know, the kids are supposed to say, "God did!" or "Jesus did"
Yeah....
Parker yells out, "MS. JUNE!"
Yes, Parker...you are right, Ms. June DID give you the bible in your hand....Silly boy!
