Rocky Top-the trip!!

Yes, we are FINALLY home!! The trip was great and we loved being in Tennessee with all the family, but there is something to be said about sleeping in your own bed and being in your own house! The girls jumped out of the car last night and went straight up to their room to play. "We missed our dress up clothes so much, Mom!!" We got home about 6:30 last night and they got to play for an hour or so before bathtime and bed. They both crashed. Aaron, Parker and I watched the first football game of the NFL season and just enjoyed sitting on our couch!
We left last Thursday morning with a stop over in Little Rock, AR at my sister and brother-in-law's house that night. Oh, by the way, my (very smart) brother-in-law, Cliff, passed the bar exam the first time!! Yes! He just got his results back last week and we are so very proud of him. If anyone knows of anyone hiring lawyers, he is a great one!! We got up Friday morning and drove to Knoxville, Tennessee for the weekend. It was just great! Everyone of Aaron's cousins, uncles and all their wives got to come to the reunion at Mamaw Green's house. It was so much fun. We all tailgated before the Vols game Saturday, which they won, by they way. Aaron was so proud of his team and to have his little one at the game. Everyone kept calling Parker the Vols "little good luck charm"....Our seats were so far up in the stadium that we were 2 rows under the Jumbotron. You could get altitude sickness just from being up that high!! The funny thing was, we could see PERFECTLY, and I'm not kidding. They were great seats (even that high up!) and we didn't even get up once to go and get a coke!! We had such a blast at the game! Sunday was the reunion day and the girls really liked getting to meet all their older cousins. They are the only little kids on that side of the family except for one other little one and she was sick the reunion day so she stayed at her other grandparents house. Mamaw had a great day with all her family and I'm so glad that we went.
Sunday night we drove to Jamestown and spent a few days with Aaron's Nana and Papaw York. They are getting older and Nana's health isn't all that good, but we were just glad to be able to love on them for a few days. On Monday, we all went down to the Wolf River Dam and the girls, Aaron, and Aunt Carrie went crawdad hunting while Papaw York fished. I think Aaron had just as much fun hunting for them as the girls, if not more!!
Tuesday morning we drove to my parents house in Searcy, but we stopped in Nashville, TN to do some shopping and just get out of the car. We went to the Rainforest Cafe in the outlet mall and the girls loved it so much....they are still talking about it!! Wednesday we just hung out around Searcy, Aaron and Cliff played golf, and the rest of us just enjoyed being out of the car! My Grandma James came over from Kennett, MO so the kids got to see EVERY one of their grandparents on this little vacation! How cool is that? My Grandma James is 95 years old, almost 96 (oct. 31st is her b-day) and you wouldn't even think she was a day over 75 or 80!! She can get around and do everything! I want to be just like her....she also has 22 GREATgrandchildren and 2 weeks ago her first GREATGREATgrandchild was born. Pretty amazing!! Yesterday we got back in the car for 8 more hours, but now we are home!! I'll try to post some pictures later...right now, I'm off to take a nap!!
