We are playing out in the yard on the playset that was left by the last owners. We just added the swings!

Internet, finally!!!

I'm just so happy today! We finally got our internet services connected yesterday and today I can blog! I was going to do it last night, but I figured that I should feed my kids and put them to bed first. He he he. Also, Aaron was out near Ft. Worth (about 1 hour to 2 hours away) on a job location and they sent them home to go to bed. So, he called right as I was getting the kids ready for bed and asked if I wouldn't put them to bed so that he could see them. I gave in and when he got home an hour later, they were soooo excited to see them. It was worth the wating until today to get on and blog, because they had so much fun. Daddy also made them milkshakes and they liked that even more. They ended up going to bed at 11:00....I know, that is the worst, but they had a blast with their dad and they both slept all night in their beds, so I didn't mind at all.
I really love our new house. It's old, but I'm getting used to it...we painted a room this past weekend. Someone, (the people before us or maybe the owners before them) painted one wall in one of the bedrooms bright red and the other 3 walls a taupe color. It wouldn't have been that bad, but it looked like they let their 5 year old do it by themseves!! There is red paint on the carpet, the trim and the switchplate! So, we found the old taupe paint and made a quick fix of that and now the guest room is ready for visitors! It's amazing what a little paint does to brighten up a room!! We also just spent WAY too much money on new carpet for this house. We have never had to buy new carpet before, the carpet that we have had in our past homes has always been just fine, but the carpet in this house, just had to go. So, we are potty training Daisy as quick as can be so that when our new carpet gets installed in 2 weeks (for my 31st birthday, no less) she will be all done with pee peeing in the house!! :) Just a little hint, take good care of your carpets, they cost WAY WAY too much to replace these days, unless you will the lottery, which I am now thinking of playing, as to pay for my new carpet! Much more later, I have so much to tell and too little time to write!! Off to do some laundry and fix lunch for the girlies!!

Rumble like a dino

Today the kids had a fun day. We babysat Jesse, my cute little 2 year old nephew, and had a grand time out on the back deck playing in the pool and just enjoying the sunshine! I think that the kids played so hard that they just wore themselves out. Susannah fell asleep at the dinner table before even eating dinner at 7:30!! It was so cute. Grace stayed up a little later to wait for her Aunt Jess to come over and play with her for a little while and when Jess left at 10, Grace went straight up to bed and was asleep in 5 minutes, but first she wanted to ask me something. We had read her stories and said prayers and she says,"Mommy can you read me ANOTHER story?" "No, Grace, it's time to go to sleep" I said. "Mommy, can you get me a snack?" "No, Grace, we don't eat right before bed." "Mommy, can you PLEASE get me a snack that is okay to eat in bed?" By this time, I'm getting a little tired of all of this stalling..."Okay, Mommy, you HAVE to get me a little snack because if you don't my tummy will rumble like a dinosaur and I will go extint!" I just laughed and said, "I love you, go to sleep." She is just so funny.

Exercising my leg

Okay, Grace is just too much sometimes. Tonight 2 of my friends here in Searcy called and invited me to go out with them on a convertable ride. It was perfect. It rained all day today and it quit a little before 5:00 and then everything cooled off and there was a great breeze outside. We had a great ride and some great conversation. It is so nice to be with comfortable friends. You know, people that you have known for so long (or not so long) that you can just lean back and relax. Anyway, Reagan and Beckie came inside after our nice ride and Grace was just crazy. It is really interesting....kids get so crazy when company comes over. It's like they have to show off for everyone and they get so hyper!! We ate after dad got home, but Grace was already gone....I don't think that she ate 3 bites of her dinner and then was slowly turning into a grouch. Then I said,"Bedtime" and that was it....she had a complete metdown and I had to carry her upstairs and put her to bed...Here is the funny story.
I put Susannah to bed first and when I came back in Grace's room she was punching her little squichy pillow and saying,"you took too long with Susie!" so I finally got her calmed down and we read stories and said prayers. Then she says,"Mommy, I'm sorry that I was ugly and was screaming. I'm also sorry that I kicked Papa at the dinner table." I said, "You kicked Papa?" And Grace says, "Well, I didn't really kick him, I was just exercising my leg." I said, "Exercising?" She says,"Yes, my legs needed a workout." Then, she feel asleep. Okay Grace, sleep tight.

Grace's birthday

We celebrated Grace's 4th birthday Tuesday night. I cannot believe that I am a mother to a 4 year old!! She had such a great time at her party. She wanted to have (another) Barbie party, but we talked her into a Butterfly birthday theme and it was so much cuter. We had so much fun picking out stuff for her birthday and we of course did our shopping at, my favorite place, Target!! They have the cutest little kids stuff. We got the neatest stuff for her new room in Texas, but the best gift find was....A CASTLE!! Yes, they had a tent that was shaped like a castle with big doors and little pink flags that fly on the top. Our little princess wannabe loved her little tent castle and I was so glad to not have to buy another Barbie! Of course, she did get one Barbie, but that is okay. She loved having her Aunt Jess and Uncle Cliff here for her birthday and her Aunt Jenn, Uncle Jer and of course her cousin Jesse along with her Nana and Papa. But most of all, her Daddy was here. Aaron had to go back today, but hopefully we will close on the house next week and then we will all be together again. I'll try to post some birthday pics....
