My bracket is gone....

That's right, folks, my College Basketball bracket for 2008 is sooo messed up. Duke and Georgetown messed me up right from the start, but last night's Tennessee Volunteers loss was just sad. No, I didn't pick them to go all the way....but I did pick them to win last night and then get beat against UNC in the next round. AKKK! That game last night was so very frustrating. They never really got into their groove at all. They had so many chances and so many steals, but they couldn't sink a bucket to save their lives! We stayed up hoping that Western Kentucky would upset UCLA, and they came back in the second half and gave them a run for their money, but no win for the little team. That is why I do love this time of year. Basketball is a sport that I would NEVER bet on and I mean that...any game in the tournament could go either way pretty much depending on what team just really wants it more. Okay, I'm not staying that is all that wins games, but the "Cinderella" stories happen every year. That is why I love college sports. It's any team's game to win. Aaron was playing in a golf tournament yesterday and he said that one guy was watching the scores on his cell phone because he had bet a bundle on the games. Really, on 18-22 year olds playing basketball? Okay, I'm really not going to get started on betting on college sports but you can probably guess that I think it is not the best use of money. But who am I to talk? We are going to Vegas in June.... :)

I would say that last night's Vols game was good, but it so wasn't on so many levels. They were so sloppy. I know they were trying to break Louisville's press, but really try something different (I know it's hard to slow down) and set up a play and run though it a few times. Chris Lofton couldn't get off a shot in the first half because they were guarding him so heavy, which is understood...that kid can shoot the lights out when he is on. It was just a ugly game. Maybe next year, Vols. Until then, I still have a few picks left..I picked Xavier to win last night and that was a good game!

I'm tied for 2nd in my bracket. Too bad it looks like I will finish 2nd to last. Darn Dukies!

My bracket is actually doing fairly well only because I picked UNC to win it all! Here holding out on that! My hubby is an ultra huge UK fan so we don't have the intensity since they were out in the FIRST round!

I am second to last in our family bracket. So sad. Last year (and the year before) I finished second. Tennessee messed me up to. Oh well.

From now on you should do what I do - base it on the mascots.

Okay I am a nerd. I just posted twice on your last post when I meant to post one on each. As Easton would say, " My brain is not working!"

Well, everybody knows that sports aren't my strong suite, but since University of Memphis are in the Sweet 16, I'm hoping they'll go all the way.

Ah, Jenn! Sorry to hear that! You should pick them they way I do!

I'm still mourning WVU's loss to Xavier in OT. THAT would have put me over the top in my bracket!
