Grace and Sus got up before the alarm went off this morning because Grace did NOT want to go to school. Alas, all of the roads are pretty clear, so I just got back from taking her to school. She wasn't a very happy camper for a little while, but she'll be fine once she gets in the classroom. Of course, I was hoping for no school, too and another chance to sleep in, but I guess that will have to wait until tomorrow.
I forgot to add yesterday that Aaron went up in the attic and got out my snowboard. Yes, for those of you that didn't know, Aaron and I love to snowboard! Even though I think I have never written about our adventures because they have been a little sidetracked with babies and just life in general. Aaron asked the other day if we wanted to go with the youth group on their ski trip and I got really excited thinking about it, but then I started thinking about our kids. The snow would be great for them, I just don't know how much we would enjoy a snowboarding trip with a 20 month old. So, until he gets a little bit bigger (or family gets closer...he he he, just kidding) we will be passing on the ski/snowboarding trip.
Until then, Aaron will pull Parker and Susie down the street with a rope attached to my beloved snowboard that hasn't actually had a rider in over 3 years...yikes!! Maybe next winter we can remedy that problem. Oh, and you may be saying, why in the world do you snowboard? Isn't that something made for teenagers with baggy pants and attitude problems? AHH, Nope! I love it! Aaron and I learned how to snowboard the first winter we were married (10 years ago...yikes!! It really does just seem like yesterday...I sound like my mom!) and we loved it so much we bought all of our own equipment. It came in handy when we lived in Alaska those years ago and could just go over to Hatcher's Pass and jump on a hill, but really doesn't get much use here in Texas. Oh well, the kids love it on snow days and I WILL (can you hear the determination in my typing?) snowboard again soon and take my kids. That is after Sea World in April, our Mommy and Daddy trip in June and Tennessee/Lake visit with family....okay, maybe the NEXT winter!!
Happy Friday, it is so very beautiful outside with the blanket of snow covering everything!

Hey, I've gotten the okay from Ash! The password is meredith. AND, we finally got some snow. Thanks for sending it our way!
Oh how much fun the snow has been! The kiddos look like they had a blast!
We are thinking of going to Sea World in April, too. How cool would that be if we went at the same time!
I love skiing, but don't know about the snow boarding. We will have to get together and go on a trip sometime..you and Aaron can snowboard and we will ski:)
Should have come to visit us in MI - the kids could have all played while you and Aaron went snowboarding!
