Sick day

I know, I'm blogging on a Sunday. Most Sundays I would be busy at church or enjoying a relaxing afternoon with the kids. This Sunday, I am trying to recoup. Yes, we have had the sick bug visit our house. Friday night Grace told me that she didn't feel good and wanted to go to bed at 6:30 (during dinner), I told her to eat her dinner and then she could go straight to bed....We went upstairs to get ready for bed and she spit on the floor, I was like, "Grace, that is sooo gross, if you need to spit, go to the toilet!" I was so mad...so she goes to the toilet and threw up everything that she had eaten on Friday...YUCK! So, then I felt bad for yelling at her for spitting on the floor, but she wasn't spitting, she was starting to throw up, so I guess I'm glad I just had to clean up a little spit and not all the stuff she did in the toilet! Then she brushed her teeth and went straight to bed, only to wake me up at 3 to tell me that she had thrown up in her bed. So, I made her a bed on our floor and we both went back to sleep. (In case you are wondering, Aaron was gone on a job.) A few minutes later, Susannah comes in my room and very scared says, "Mommy, Grace disappeared!" So, everyone slept in Mommy's room....That was Friday night, now it is Sunday and Grace feels better, but went to sleep last night with a fever, Susie has a terrible runny nose and Parker was up half the night with a stopped up nose. When it rains it pours, eh? Let's just hope that Grace gets better before school starts on Wednesday!! She got a letter from her teacher on Friday and she kept running around the house singing, "I got Mrs. Miller, I got Mrs. Miller"...she was soooo excited and of course Susie was following her singing, "You got Mrs. Miller, you got Mrs. Miller!" Oh to be 2 again!!

Ha ha, that reminds me of what Ray Ramano said in his show when a lady asked his take on his family... "I like to tell people its like living in a frat house - nobody ever gets any sleep and there's a lot of throwing up around here"

I have a ton of sypathy for ya Jen, it is NO FUN cleaning up someone else's throw up! haha

Aaron and I got to hear Ray Ramano live while he was in college at the University of Florida. Every year for Homecoming they have a big pep ralley called, "Gator Growl"...it is great. They bring in comedians from the unknown to the very well known. Aaron's senior year, they brought in Ray and we thought, "This is going to be soooo funny!" Of course we were 21 and we were not even married yet, much less thinking of kids, and all Ray told jokes about were his kids and throwing up and pooping. We were not amused. We wanted someone who was going to tell funny jokes! So, we went home disapointed, but we can say that we have heard him before....so for all you that don't have kids or aren't even married, reading my blog may be a whole lot like the 2 of us going to hear Ray Ramano, not funny at all and for that I say, "Go read someone else's blog!" Just kidding.....Have a great Monday....my anniversary is tomorrow and Grace starts school on Wednesday!!!

Hope everyone is on the mend...throwup is the worst! Well, maybe not the worst(right Jenn?) but it runs close behind...no puns intended. Seriously, having sick ones isn't much fun at all. Hope the rest of the week is better. Love you all.
