Aaron has been on days off so of course we have been busy working on the house. This weekends' project was the girls bathroom in their room. It is a tiny little thing. You can sit on the toilet and wash your hands in the sink and prop up your feet on the tub. Pretty small, but oh so perfect for them and their small needs, for now, anyway. We started with taking out the toilet and pedestal sink....yah, that was scary. The last owners had the color dark purple sprayed everywhere in there....it makes the bathroom look like a cave, so we got a yellow paint to cover it up. Well, now it is painted, the carpet is ripped up (yes, yucky carpet in a kids bathroom, you don't even want to know how stained it was...ekkk!) and the tiles are all down and waiting to be grouted. It looks better, but I really think the yellow is too yellow and I'm going to repaint it today while Aaron is gone. We have some really light lavender paint in the garage and I think it will be softer. The yellow just kinda hurts my eyes right now....we'll see my mood in a little while.
I tried to post pictures of my new swing but Picasa was being a pain...Aaron got me a porch swing for Valentine's day, but we just got it on Friday night. We drove to about 20 south of Mineral Wells and there is this great store. Texas Mercantile (I think is what is is called) has the world's biggest cedar rocking chair out front so you can't miss it. They make all their own furniture and I love my swing. Aaron hung it on Monday (it was tooo cold this weekend to do it) and it is going to be great once it warms up a little outside. Oh, the best part of this store is that they have a little place to eat. Oh, the ribs and the chopped brisket were soooo great! I love living in Texas and getting such good bar-b-que!!! After we stuffed ourselves, we took the kids into Weatherford to see Curious George...it was so cute and we all really liked it. The music was really good...I'm going to download it today onto my shuffle.
I think I'm going to paint.....
