We gave in...

Well, the girls have been asking for a kitten for who knows how long. They are little girls, don't all little girls want a little sweet kitten? Well, at Grace's school there was a sign up for free kittens and when we called they still had all 6 and the girls got the pick of the litter. They are both really excited. Grace named hers, Princess, and Susie named hers, Analise (from a Barbie movie), so they are both fast asleep dreaming of playing with their kittens tomorrow morning.
I am glad to have finally found some free kittens, because we live near a bluff and have many snakes in the summer. We didn't see any bad ones this past summer when we moved in, but we have heard many scary stories and will do whatever it takes to keep them away. That includes the kittens. Someone (actually several people) told us that snakes don't like cats. By the time summer comes, they will be plenty big to keep the snakes away, hopefully, I won't be quite as chicken to go out in the yard. And, No, I didn't know there were snakes here when we bought this house or I can pretty much guarantee you that we wouldn't have bought this house. I am soooo scared of snakes, it just isn't even funny, but more on that later.
Last night we were on our way to Wal-Mart (where else? It's Graham!)and I was listening to my new Randy Travis gospel CD that Aaron got me for Christmas. It's great, by the way, lots of old songs and a couple of new worship songs in his style. The song, "I'll Fly Away" came on and I told Grace what the song meant and she said, "Well, I want to fly away to Heaven, too, that is where God is and I'm not afraid to die, I'm a Christian!" Are we sure that she is just 4 years old? I'm with you Grace, let's fly away. Susie likes the part in the song where it says "In the morning"...she keeps singing the song with that part extra loud...I love that little redhead and her little singing sister!
